Kuma Tea Garden's Imperial Mountain grown Saemidori Sencha is a very uniquely sweet tea. While presenting incredibly deep green, it is not a Gyokuro, or a Fukamushi. It is grown in such rich soil that provides the plant to produce very much chlorophyll. Because it is not shaded while grown, expect to find many bright and saccharine notes of nectarine, melon and citrus in this tea.

This farm is managed by tea instructor Nakatani Kazumi (中谷和美), who represents her family's farm as a brand with her limitless knowledge and incredible palate. With her expertise, she is able to transform her cousins' beautiful leaves and hard work not the curated selection we can enjoy together. Third-Generation Tea Farmer Kuma Masahiro (久間正大）has quickly become quite the legend in Japan after winning the grand prize in the 2017 Japanese National Tea Competition. His attention to detail is unprecedented, and one sip of this tea will show you exactly what we mean.
