Ren High Grade Sencha

From Chiran, Kagoshima, Shimono san expertly blended four cultivars (Yutaka Midori, Yabukita, Sae Midori, and Asatsuyu) to create this high-quality, deep-steamed (fukamushi) sencha.

From Harrison:

This Sencha delivers a very fragrant, smooth and light body while packing in tons of flavor. While modestly priced, this tea lacks nothing. With flavors of toasted pine nuts, freshly bloomed marigolds, water chestnut and steamed greens, this sencha is a perfect starting place to find exactly what to expect from a sencha, at its best. Ren is the blueprint, the ideal canvas that can vary widely. But when I think of comparison whilst trying other sencha from the region, this tea is the one I find myself coming back to always. Being a fukamushicha, the deep steaming is what allows these flavors to come forward so sweetly.
