Genmaicha is one of the most widely drank teas in Japan. Not only is it an at-home staple, most restaurants also carry it as an offering because of how well it pairs with food, or as a post-meal digestion aid. While this tea is normally drank as is, it actually can be used as soup stock for a famous comfort dish called Ochazuke.
